I’m a versatile and multi-skilled communicator, thanks to my background in advertising and broadcast TV, both of which gave me a firm grounding in storytelling, user-centred content, and managing teams.

Since pivoting into technology I have led award-winning projects at Meta as a content designer working with chatbots and large language models. I enjoy the technical side of product work and became a Content Engineering Lead to help designers own their content end to end.

In my work as a conversation designer and developer, I’ve designed complex interactions, trained neural networks, and designed training sets. My work has improved intent recognition rates for one client from 78 to 89%. An even nicer measure of success was a customer telling the bot they were her “best friend”! I love the way this work draws on linguistics, technology, psychology and conversational writing.

I’m enthusiastic about a lot of things and I’ve always got a course on the go, or a side project. Currently, I’m brushing up on data analysis in a L4 apprenticeship, and learning how to grow vegetables. I’m from Bristol, have two lovely kids and live in a village with a fantastic cheese shop.
